The is the Holy Grail of all my posts!!

As a trainer, I have seen success and failure and it all comes down to the first steps of your workout journey. This post accumulates all the factors of maintaining a long term fitness routine. 

Working out is so hard to start, then after you start, even harder to stay consistent. What happens is one day we get really motivated. Maybe we are sick of the way we look, maybe it’s a health scare, maybe we just don’t feel comfortable in our own skin. Well, this burst of motivation turns into a hard-core routine to jump start our fitness journey. Working out 5 days a week accompanied by extreme dieting… a complete 180 from what our daily routine looked like before.

What happens is over 90% of people fail and revert back to their old way of living, because the fitness/nutrition program they chose was not sustainable. We have to choose a routine where we can be consistent. The key to consistency is a sustainable routine that we can see ourselves doing for the rest of our life, not just for the next few months to get in shape and that’ it. Fitness is endless. Enjoy the journey!

With this, we cannot be consistent in a routine if we are not disciplined. The discipline stems from the motivation, which is where we started in the first place. Motivation and the right start leads us to Discipline, which leads us to Consistency! With the keys points I have listed in this post, you are on your way to success! Just start super small and develop a lifetime routine!! You got this.. I believe in you!
