I love overnight oats. They are easy and delicious. You know who else loves overnight oats? Baby Tommy!! The cool part is, I can make his with breast milk. If you don’t have breastmilk, you can also use mixed formula or pure plant milk (I recommend Malk). Overnight oats are also convenient for portioning; both for me and baby. I make one small mason jar for Tommy and it feeds him about 3-4 breakfasts. For Baby, I do different fruits every week, but see the recipe below for a couple of his favorites 🙂

Strawberry Banana Spinach Baby Overnight Oats

I feed Tommy the raspberries on the side. Easy to mash in gums.
Loving his Overnigh Oats!

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup Breastmilk*
1 Banana
5 Strawberries
1 Cup Spinach
1 Tbsp Chia Seed
3/4 Cup Rolled Oats (I use Bob’s Red Mill)

Now Blend It!

Pour breastmilk or Pure Plant Milk into blender and add the banana, strawberries and spinach. Blend until smooth. Add the oatmeal and pulse a couple times to combine.** Pour the combination into a mason jar or airtight tupperware and mix in Chia seeds. Store in the refridgerator overnight and serve to baby in the morning!

Notes:
* Keep in mind the breastmilk will expire. I use milk that I pumped that day, so it stays good for up to 4 days. Tommy usually finishes the mason jar in 3-4 feedings and I feed it to him once a day.
** You can blend more is your baby is a Stage 1 eater. Tommy can handle the larger peices of oatmeal now. (These are just friendly mother tips, as always consult your pediatrician reagrding your baby’s eating habits)
