This is my favorite hummus of all time! I usually make it once a week and put it on my wraps or just dip my veggies in it. I used to buy hummus from the store every week never being satisfied with the taste compared to mediterranean restaurants and never thought until recently… Make my Own! Duh!! This recipe is a copy cat recipe from Greenbelt (a restaurant I used to work at).
Ingredients:
1 Can Chickpeas Drained
1/3 Cup Tahini
1/4 Cup EVOO
Juice of 1 Lemon
1 Large Garlic Cloves
1 Tbsp Curry Powder
1/2 Tbsp Turmeric
1/2 Tbsp Cumin
1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
S&P to Taste
2 Tbsp Harissa (optional- to make spicy)
Water to Desired Creaminess
Let’s Make It:
In a food processor, add chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, EVOO and spices. Blend to combine. Slowly add water to desired creaminess. Add harissa if you want to make it spicy. Refrigerate and ENJOY!
